ADHD Homework Club
This isn't your average homework club! Homework can often be a frustrating part of learning for students with ADHD. Our program focuses on giving students all the tools they need to tackle their homework with confidence and success. Students will not only receive one-on-one help with homework from Ontario Certified Teachers, but also acquire self-regulation and organizational skills that can be applied outside of the classroom setting and carried into adulthood.
Our Teacher: Cristina Marie Cellupica, B.Ed., OCT
Cristina completed her undergraduate degree in Humanities from York University and her Bachelor of Education from the University of Ottawa. She is an Ontario Certified Teacher who specializes in the Primary and Junior divisions and has additional qualifications in Special Education as well as Vocal Music. Cristina also completed the Applied Behaviour Analysis Certificate Course for Educators, which was offered by the Geneva Centre for Autism. Her creative and student-focused approach to education ensures that all her students reach their potential while learning in an inviting and inclusive atmosphere.
Our Teacher: Eduardo L. Quito-Astudillo, B.Ed., OCT
Eduardo is a professional musician and educator. He completed his Bachelor of Fine Arts with Honours in Music at York University in Toronto and his Bachelor of Education at the University of Ottawa. The Autism Music Program at Pivotal Minds provides a well-rounded social musical experience by creating a community of learners in our group classes. Our approach to Music Education combines music with social skills and interactions using moderate sensory approaches (visual, kinesthetic, auditory). Our lessons are led by an Ontario Certified Teacher who will help students learn basic music theory, and help them apply their knowledge to percussion instruments.
